Suburban Re-boot

This builder grade 80’s kitchen was never very functional. A tool large island placed in the center of this kitchen served primarily as an obstacle in this kitchen. This remodel is a great example of how a few simple modifications can make a world of difference.

We removed the island and built new cabinets between the sliding doors and the kitchen to create an eat-in counter as well as extend the functionality of the kitchen with more continuous work space. We replaced the doors of the cabinets with translucent 3-form EcoResin panels set into cherry stained Birch frames. The microwave was relocated and an asymmetrical tile backsplash was added emphasizing height.

The result is a totally transformed kitchen using the same footprint and much of the original cabinetry.
