Kenwood Perfection
Transforming this home into a model of sustainability was a year long project. We restored much of the home while adding onto the rear of the home in order to improve the flow. Geothermal was added via 4 90′ deep wells in the back yard, with a permeable paver patio and no-mow fescue grass that achieved a 90% stormwater retention on site. A new metal roof with super insulated ceiling lowered the energy demands of the home.
A new hickory kitchen with customized corbels and reclaimed granite countertops minimizes upper cabinets in favor of windows and natural light. The bathrooms have beautiful tile designs that utilize Crossville tile with 40-90% recycled content.
One of the first remodeled homes in MN to achieve GreenStar Gold certification (Equal to LEED Platinum), this home is a remarkable achievement that is understated in it’s perfection.
